Open it up

There is only one option for a young vibrant family who loves to spend time with their family and loves to entertain...Open it Up! For some reason, the designers of 60's and 70's loved to segment the main living room areas with walls. At Summey Industries, we are taking out the walls.

With this home we took out a load bearing wall that separated the kitchen and the living room. The kitchen was designed with an open feel island that allowed for maximum countertop space. The homeowners choose a modern yet warm dark granite that pairs nicely with the white shaker style cabinets. We added a few walls to make the front room a guest room and added a full bath to serve the guest room and living room.

The master bath needed a bit of an overhaul and we did just that. Some more walls came down to open up the bathroom because we needed all the space we could get. A central wet area joins the walk-in shower with the tub. Bath the kids and let 'em splash because all the water is going down the shower drain.

We topped off the remodel with some freshly refinished wood floors and some well chosen tones of paint...and most importantly...we met the deadline of having the house finished before the new baby came. Congratulations guys!
